Thank You Father in Heaven for all you so freely and lovingly give!
At this time of year, many people around the world, but particularly in North America, begin to give thanks for what they have, and even take a holiday to get together with family and friends, and show their gratefulness to You for all they have in their lives.
Thanksgiving Day is primarily celebrated in Canada and the United States, Canada on the second Monday of October, and in the United States on the fourth Thursday in November. This prayer, however, is not about Thanksgiving Day specifically, but is instead a Praise of Thankfullness itself.
Thank You Father, for the community and fellowship of the members and leaders of The Christian Crew. There have been numerous times, in the lives of many individuals, when the Christian Crew itself was the one place to go for support and kind words, prayer and praise, teaching or instruction, or for wise advice.
Thank You Father for those who follow the Spirit and the Bible and give to our community, both monetarily and with their time and effort, so that others may be enriched as they are by the fruits of Your Grace that is so easily found here. The smallest detail that goes into the functioning of our community enriches us all, the most boring 'grunt work' that can be found still makes our community roll along smoother, and with passion. The tiniest donations still support and enrich our abilities as a community to grow, expand, and minister yet more.
Thank You Father for letting us, each one of us as insignificant as grains of sand on a vast beach, the blessing to be a part of Your Mission to save humanity from all things that separate us from You. If only one word that passes our lips assists You in reaching a lost person, than we are still vessels of your Service, and we are awed to be a part of Your Magnificent and Selfless Love.
Thank You Father for the talents and abilities that you bestow upon those You call to fulfill their Service. Without the wonderful mix of blessings You have allowed us, we could not show the fruit that we do, all in Your Name, and in Your Glory, Father.
Thank You Father for that man that makes all the minor and major changes and does maintenance on our servers and websites and forums. We appreciate him more than he knows and Praise You Father for bringing him among us.
Thank You Father for the man that knows us all, or certainly tries to, and who has no fear to tell us what we need to hear when we need to hear it. His words may sometimes be admonishments and are not sugar-coated and pretty, but without his ability to cut through the chaff, we might be listless, Laodicean Christians instead of on fire for You as we are today. Praise You Father, for him, and his thousands and thousands of hours of Service to You and us!
Thank You Father for those men who have lived longer than most of us, those stable men, both married and not, who Serve You and our community with their experience, God-given gifts and talents, and most with their patience. They often have families of their own to guide and teach, businesses to run, and their own churches to attend, but they still find the time, energy and passion to enlist themselves in Your Service among this community. Praise You Father, for bringing these pillars of our community among us, and allowing their wisdom to flow so freely.
Thank You Father for those men who use their artistic talent, inspiration, and time to make our "virtual fellowship hall' the beautiful and place of character that it has become. They may do much of what they do for the practice, or just for the fun of it, but they still get the job done ultimately for You. Praise You Father for these men, for attracting them to Your Flame and Your Love.
Thank You Father for the youngest to the oldest, the members who simply find fellowship here, and a great place to play games, have fun among friends, and discuss and ask questions within our fellowship. No leader, artist, technician, or teacher would have anything to do, and no mission to accomplish without our members and their needs! Praise You Father for allowing us to open our doors, our hearts, and our Mission to those who need it most.
Thank You Father for the Service of those who put themselves in harm's way for each of us to continue to enjoy the freedom and liberty to worship You as the Most High God. Without their willingness to lay down their lives for their brothers and sisters, we might not be able to pray so openly and lovingly. Praise You Father for these people, especially those who have been hurt or have lost their lives in pursuit of our safety.
Heavenly Father, we are so grateful to be loved by You! To feel your favor is to feel the touch of the warm sun, or the caress of the cool rain. You loved us so much, You created us and designed our universe in all its shining splendor. You didn't stop there. Praise You Father, for then seeing our limits and our mistakes and still giving us Your Only Son, that we may return to Your Grace, and feel your love for an eternity!
Thank You Father, for everything.
